BrailleSC.org is a fun, educational resource for individuals in South Carolina who are visually impaired as well as for their families, friends, and educators. It’s a fully accessible web site emphasizing the importance of braille literacy and providing strategies for using braille in everyday life.

Dr. Tina Herzberg
(Assistant Professor, USC Upstate)
Dr. Herzberg is an Assistant Professor of Education at the University of South Carolina Upstate where she directs the Special Education-Visual Impairment Program. Her research and teaching interests include braille, braille literacy, and accessibility.
Dr. George H. Williams
(Assistant Professor, USC Upstate)
Dr. Williams is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of South Carolina Upstate where he has led a research project on accessible website development. His research and teaching interests include eighteenth-century studies, orality & literacy, the digital humanities, and disability studies in the humanities.
Cory Bohon
(Student, USC Upstate)
Cory Bohon is a student at the University of South Carolina Upstate where he is working to complete a Bachelors of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems. His current interests include software engineering, information technology, and accessible website design.
David Pruitt
(Student, USC Upstate)
David Pruitt is an Education Major with an emphasis in English attending the University of South Carolina Upstate. He lives in Easley with his wife, two daughters, two cats, and a dog. They enjoy playing video games and generally reveling in all things geeky.
